Project Impact
Description
This program focused on ways for children, who were displaced as a result of a devastating hurricane, to express their thoughts and feelings through a variety of literacy initiatives. Support programs included literacy skill building, improving comprehension skills, enhancing speaking skills, developing friendships, and showcasing talent through poetry competitions. Rotary members and guests became mentors to the young readers and writers.
