Our club focuses on Literacy by working with Norman Public Schools in Title 1 elementary schools. We provide incentives like e-readers, books & bicycles to students who meet reading goals. Our new fundraiser is also a service project. In conjunction with NPS, we are creating a festival where students interact with authors and leave with at least one book of their own. The second day of the festival is open to the public with a broader range of genres, activities and a parent track to help parents learn why/how to read to their children. The overall goal is to create life-long readers.
