Kiptulwo Primary School is a boys and girls school situated in Baraget location, Keringet division, Kuresoi South Constituency in Nakuru County near Nairobi in Kenya. This school serves 5 villages and is supported by the local District Education board. The area population consists primarily of farming community who live on small parcels of land. In addition to the dilapidated structures, the difficulty in learning environment ensues from lack of water, missing desks, and dearth of toilets. The absenteeism rate of the school is at 40% in a week as a result of poor infrastructure, jigger infestation, earth flooring, inadequate space with poor aeration and makeshift structures. This project seeks to rebuild 8 classrooms, add 32 student desks, add water harvesting from classroom roofs, and build one ablution block with 4 doors. The desired outcome would be to make schooling enjoyable, hygienic, and safe for children to thrive, which is a big motivation for children to stay in school. This project also aims to improve the facilities for teachers with provision for staff room with tables.
