BELRAG will host an Education & Literacy Symposium prior to the Calgary International Convention - our first-ever pre-convention gathering to learn and discuss what is current in basic education and literacy. We need YOU to join us and be a part of this historic event. We will welcome speakers addressing topics to include the role Rotary members can play as advocates for literacy, how to design successful, sustainable projects, and what works in technology education. Recent BELRAG award programs will share their projects and their success. There will be plenty of time for networking, sharing best practices, and conversations with our Rotary colleagues from around the world.
The Symposium will be held on Friday, 20 June 2025, at the historic (and conveniently located) Calgary Central Library (800 3 Street SE Calgary). Our day will include an optional tour of the library as well as an opportunity to take a short walk to visit the Little Red Reading House, a house full of books that welcome families to explore the magic of reading. A light breakfast and lunch will be served by our partner, the Rotary Club of Calgary.
Registration is $65 ($75 after 1 May). Participation is open to all Rotary members and individuals who would like to learn more about Rotary’s commitment to Basic Education and Literacy.
Be a part of Rotary History in the making; join us in Calgary for this informative and energizing day of all things education and literacy.
